WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

For the original retail purchaser (“Consumer”), FUSION BOARDS are warranted against material or manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year against material or manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, for all parts of the board excluding the battery which has a 6 month warranty. If you have an extended warranty, this will be noted on your original order and will be stated in your manual. The maximum extended warranty is for 3 years (2 years in addition to the standard 1 year warranty) for all parts of the board excluding the battery which has a maximum 1 year warranty (6 months in addition to the standard 6 month warranty).

This limited warranty is only valid with the purchase of a FUSION BOARD from an authorised FUSION BOARD dealer. This warranty is non-transferable.

Please Note: The first extended warranties we offered started on 1st November 2017 and are only applicable to certain models. If you purchased your board prior to 1st November 2017 it is covered by our standard warranty (1 year against material or manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, for all parts of the board excluding the battery which has a 6 month warranty).

OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE

If you have a problem with your Fusion Board and you suspect that it may be due to defective materials or workmanship, please contact Fusion Board direct by raising a support request here and we will endeavor to ascertain the nature of the problem and discuss the best course of action.

Unless agreed by our service team prior to sending, the customer is responsible for all shipping and handling fees to and from the original dealer or the Fusion Board workshops which are in Cornwall UK.

Once the product has been inspected by our engineers to assess the nature of the problem, if it is determined that there is a manufacturing fault, and all conditions of the warranty have been adhered to, we will repair or replace the product (only if we are unable to repair) and return to the consumer by registered post. If we are unable to repair or replace with a comparable alternative, we will instruct the original dealer to issue a full refund.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

This limited warranty does not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear and aging of product.
  • Boards damaged by extreme weather or environmental conditions.
  • Boards damaged while in possession of a freight carrier, a dealer, consumer, or any party other than Fusion Board.
  • Boards damaged by accident, neglect, improper use or handling, including water damage.
  • Boards sold as “demos”, “2nds”or in “as is” condition.
  • Boards determined to have been used for any activity other than an activity, which is customary for the product.
  • Boards that have been structurally or dimensionally altered or modified.
  • Boards used for commercial or rental purposes.

Water damage:

All Fusion boards are susceptible to water damage. Some boards have a higher resistance to water and dust ingress, but none of our boards should ever be ridden through standing water, wet surface conditions or wet mud. If water or excess moisture does get into the workings of the board, this can cause short circuits and severe damage to various components.

A board that has been ridden through water or mud will often have multiple short circuits, which can damage the battery, main circuit board and one or both motors. So including shipping this can often cost over £100 to fix and often a board can be beyond cost effective repair.

Any water damage is not covered by our warranty and is considered as user damaged, which will always be charged for repair and shipping costs back to us and to be returned to you.

Cart’s, buggies and other after market attachments and accessories:

Although balance board cart’s are usually generic and will often fit Fusion Boards, we don’t warrant any Fusion Board while in use with or which has been used with a cart, buggy or similar attachment not supplied by Fusion Board directly.

We do currently sell cart’s which fit our boards and which have been extensively tested with our boards. However, we have found that carts can cause unpredictable results while in use and in some circumstances can cause physical damage to the board. In addition to this, using a cart with a hover board means that the board is using full power most of the time, which can cause the battery to loose power much more quickly that with normal use, and will also degrade the batteries capacity and performance over time.

For this reason a board which has been used with a Fusion Board cart or similar attachment has the warranty including extended warranties are limited to 1 year for all components apart from the battery which we will only cover for the first 3 months of ownership.

This limited warranty excludes all other warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to Fusion Boards. Some state, country, or provincial laws do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

Limitation Summary:

This limited warranty excludes any incidental or consequential damages or expenses resulting from any defects. Fusion Board’s aggregate liability shall be limited to an amount equal to Consumer’s original purchase price paid for the defective product. Some state, country, or provincial laws do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

To the extent any limitation or exclusion contained herein is contrary to any country, state, or provincial law, such limitation or exclusion shall be severable and all other terms herein shall remain in full force and effect and are valid and enforceable. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights. For Consumers who are covered by state, country or provincial consumer protection laws or regulations, the benefits from this warranty are in addition to all rights conveyed by such consumer protection laws.

In the event the original owner sells the FUSION BOARD we are unable to extend the warranty to the subsequent owners.

Fusion Board is not liable for any injury mishap or loss incurred as the result of use of this product. The user of this product acknowledges and assumes any risks associated with such use and waives any and all claims against Fusion Board, its owners, staff, representatives, agents and assigns.

Users should always make appropriate checks before using the board to confirm that it is safe to use. Equipment appropriate for the conditions and skill level of the user should always be used. Please refer to your user manual for more information.
